Should Schools Supply Computers To all Students?
I believe that it is important for schools to supply students enough computers so that they all have access to a computer on a regular basis. I do not however believe that each child needs their own individual computer. It is valuable for children to be on the computer on a regular basis because part of their learning experience should include becoming technologically savy. Technology can also help students to maximize learning, but I do not believe that students need an computer per individual because I don't think that they will need access to it that often unless they are in middle school or higher. I feel that there may be more benefits for students who are in 6th grade and up, but I will be working with children in elementary school. Elementary children in my opinion have no need to be on a computer on an extreme basis because we are building on their writing skills and motor skills.

I agree that having access to technology on a regular basis will help students become "technologically savvy." However, more than that I think that access on a "regular basis" helps students own what they are learning... helps them view data from a metacognitive perspective... helps them think outside the box.
I agree with how technology is moving we need to help students become tech savvy but i am worried they will become too dependent on it if we give it to them to use on a regular basis.
I agree with you that students should have access to computers but do not necessarily need a personal computer all the time.
