Webquests
A webquest is defined as an online interactive learning activity. The students obtain information from the internet usually by working in groups and dividing work between the students. The goal is for the students to spend the majority of the time learning rather than searching for facts.
I will be teaching early childhood education, most likely in a general education setting. I like the idea of a webquest because I will be able to provide my students with the websites that will be beneficial to their learning. Therefore they will not be coming across websites that are not appropriate for little eyes and little ears.
Webquests are nice because they can be used for students to incorporate technology into the classroom, the only down fall is that they are time consuming and can be a challenge for teachers to create.

You've stated one of the prime reasons for using webquests: "students... spend the majority of the time learning rather than searching for facts."
