My current thoughts about the use of technology in the educational field ...

Technology is becoming more and more apart of the classroom in every child experience within the classroom. It has gone as far as to become its own subject area and is integrated into almost every subject. I do not see technology becoming less important as time goes on, but even more so. I think that as a future educator we need to stay up to date on our ability to operate current technology and keep up with research, so that we can incorporate technology into the learning process for children. Technology withholds the ability to increase learning in every subject if used efficiently. It is also highly important to keep up with current technology so that we as educators can help our students to learn appropriate ways to use tools and become efficient with them, because as we have seen technology is going to be a vital portion of our students lives as they get older. By including a variety of technology into the classroom we are helping our students to become well rounded, which should be a main goal of every teacher.

I agree with you that we need to keep up with research. We not only need to know the new technology to consider using. We also need to know what kind of technology works best for what type of teaching.

Baili- I must agree with you.
1st, you are right in the fact that technology has gone as far to make itself its own subject area. And I do not see it becoming less important in today's society either. There will always be a need for upgrades and newer equipment with our fast-pace civilization.
I do think that the next generation is going to be faced with an even greater need for the tools and knowledge to use technology, and because of this you are correct in saying that technology in the classroom is of utmost importance in the students' education.
